Warren Young，1970年于纽约大学坦顿工程学院获经济学与社会科学理学学士学位，1979年获剑桥大学经济与政治学院社会与政治科学博士学位。因其在现代经济学史研究领域的杰出贡献，剑桥大学经济学系在2024年授予其文学博士（Litt. D）高级博士学位。他撰写及主编过多部现代经济学史领域的著作和论文，研究主题涵盖凯恩斯经济学与IS-LM模型、国际宏观经济学、预期与理性预期、哈罗德式增长与内生增长理论、经济周期与真实经济周期、世代交叠模型以及美联储历史等，其研究成果发表于《政治经济学史》（History of Political Economy）、《宏观经济动态》（Macroeconomic Dynamics）等权威期刊。
他曾担任新西兰惠灵顿维多利亚大学、澳大利亚迪肯大学高级访问讲师，在迪肯大学任职期间，获得澳大利亚研究理事会（ARC）重大项目资助，赴日本开展哈罗德档案研究。Warren Young先后任教于以色列本-古里安大学和巴伊兰大学，现为巴伊兰大学荣休教授。此外，还先后担任剑桥大学伍尔森学院及经济学系、亚利桑那州立大学凯瑞商学院和卡内基-梅隆大学泰珀商学院访问学者，并曾任明尼阿波利斯联邦储备银行档案馆项目顾问。
目前研究项目包括：《新结构经济学史》专著、剑桥大学马歇尔讲座讲稿（书稿将由施普林格出版社出版），以及为剑桥大学出版社联合主编的《凯恩斯未刊文稿：哲学与政治》。
讲座题目（一）：New Structural Economics:A Grounded History of Economic Thought Approach

My object is to put together a volume on NSE from a history of economic thought [HET] perspective with the cooperation and advice of its originator, Prof. Justin Yifu Lin. Here I apply my grounded HET approach to NSE. I apply it by focusing on theorigin, development, evolution, dissemination and morphology of NSE. In this context, I present some initial observations on how NSE came about from a fusion of elements; the building blocks of NSE; the progression of NSE to its “embryonic framework”; initial presentation of the GIFF framework; formalization of NSE via lectures; development of NSE models and methods; emerging NSE subfields; debates and critiques regarding NSE; and what are some possible future scenarios for NSE. In this context, I present somepreviously overlookedaspects in the history of NSE accordingly.
讲座题目（二）：Endogenous Growth Models and the Monopolistic Competition Enigma

This presentation deals with the historical role of monopolistic competitionin the development of Romer's growth model. It focuses on his applicationof the Dixit-Stiglitz approach that first appeared in a Stanford UniversityWorking Paper(1974), and was utilized in areas such as international trade and macroeconomics from 1979 onwards (e.g. Krugman 1979; Mankiw 1985; Akerloff and Yellen 1985; Cooper and John 1985.) We discuss why and how Romer applied a conflation of Dixit-Stiglitz (1977) and Ethier’s (1982) approaches in progressing from his December 1986 Rochester Center for Economic Research Working Papers to his 1990 Journal of Political Economy paper that formerly presentedhis specific approach to growth.
