The School of Economics & Finance of Xi'an Jiaotong University has 182 members of faculty, among whom there are 148 teachers including 32 professors and 81 associate professors, 20 of whom are the supervisors of doctoral candidates and 66 of whom are supervisors of master candidates. 12 professors get the special allowance of the State Council and are awarded the honor of "outstanding experts" at national, provincial or ministerial levels. There are approximately 2600 students including doctor degree candidates, master degree candidates and undergraduates.

The School of Economics & Finance has the post-doctoral mobile station in the major of applied economics, which is the first and only one in the northwest of China. There are 10 majors awarding doctor degrees, they are finance, industrial economics, international trade, international economics, regional economics, econometrics, statistics, cameralistics, labor economics, and national economics. There are also 12 disciplines offering master degrees including finance, industrial economics, cameralistics, statistics, west economics, management science and engineering, technology economics, and management, international trade, regional economics, population econometrics, resources and environment and Master of Business Administration (MBA). 12 disciplines are authorized to award Bachelor' degrees, including finance, financial information engineering, economics, statistics, international economy and trade, e-commerce, and cameralistics .
